A Doctor Who Shows Up When It Matters Most

Dr. Jasmeet Bains is a family physician from Delano — the daughter of first-generation immigrants who built their lives in the Central Valley. Her father worked as a mechanic and her mother as a bookkeeper. They taught her the values that guide her today: service, sacrifice, and standing up for what's right.

After medical school, Dr. Bains came home to practice medicine in the community that raised her, treating patients who had nowhere else to turn. When wildfires tore through California, she deployed as Chief Medical Officer for the Central Valley with the California Medical Assistance Team. When COVID hit, she organized surge hospitals across the Valley.

In 2022, she brought that same urgency to the State Legislature. As a member of the California State Assembly, she secured over $20 million to fight fentanyl addiction, led the effort to build a UC medical school in Kern County, and cut taxes for working moms and veterans.

Now she's running for Congress — because the Central Valley deserves a representative who works as hard as the people who live here.
